Reviewer Calls Avatier’s Identity and Access Management Software Suite ‘A Remarkable Offering’

Best identity manager.

SC Magazine, one of the most highly regarded publications covering the IT cyber security space, recently published a review of Avatier’s Identity and Access Management (AIMS) Software Suite. The suite, which is Avatier’s main identity and access management software product and incorporates products for user provisioning, password management, governance risk compliance, and identity intelligence, scored an overall rating of four-and-a-half out of a possible five stars and had ratings of four stars or better in five out of the six categories.

“The Avatier Identity and Access Management Software Suite has progressed from a basic IAM package to something much broader than anything in the market today,” said Chris Arnold, Vice President, Services, Avatier. “By listening to our customer’s needs, we have evolved the suite into an identity and access management product that also functions as an ITIL actionable service catalog that deals with all the assignment needs of an identity rather than just system access needs.”

In his review of the Identity and Access Management Software Suite, SC Magazine’s Peter Stephenson provided a number of highly complementary descriptions of the product, including an overall assessment of the suite as, “a well-thought-out product that really delivers.” Among the other numerous compliments were the following:

‐ “The product provides a number of rich modules or functions that provide the foundation for a sound identity management program.”

‐ “The system operates with almost zero lag time during almost all of the functions”

&dash “The large number of prepared reports makes getting started so easy. The reports are easy to read with a lucid graphical layout.”

‐ “The actual install takes only minutes and can be done without the aid of extensive documentation.”

‐ “The software installer was literally a click, pause and users are up and running.”

Besides finding favor with most of the elements of the identity and access management software suite, Stephenson also commented on the value for what the AIMS suite offers, noting, “At a price starting at $45 per user, the product cost is comparable to similar products, but don’t be fooled by the price, this is a remarkable offering.”
