At last, fixed-price IT security services.

Last week we announced the launch of the IT Security Consulting Company, a spinoff of Avatier. We are using the expertise of this new group of consultants to provide services in all areas of information security including Identity and Access Management. Initially, we will be concentrating on sixteen areas:

  • Application Vulnerability Assessment

  • Business Impact Analysis
  • A CISO Advisory Program
  • Cloud Balanced Scorecard Software
  • Cloud Benchmark GRC Software
  • Cloud Directory Cleanup Software
  • Cloud Role Mining Software
  • Directory Assessment
  • Directory Cleanup
  • Disaster Recovery Planning
  • HIPAA Assessment
  • IAM Strategic Assessment
  • Information Security Certification Program
  • Information Security Process Evaluation
  • IT Risk Assessment

CISO Challenges

In every industry, a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) faces daunting challenges with delivering day-to-day security operations and lowering risk for an organization. As a result, many turn to large consulting firms, hoping to complement their inhouse security expertise. Unfortunately, many larger consulting firms often assign recent graduates or other low-cost/low-experience security resources to engagements, which results in minimal value.

IT Security Consulting will provide expert information security advisors who are true thought leaders and who understand business risks. Created with the CISO in mind, IT Security Consulting leverages Avatier’s proven identity management solutions and experience gained from working with a long list of clients to make consulting engagements faster and more efficient.

IT Security Services

We will be focusing on fixed-price services that help today’s information security officers tackle the greatest enterprise security incidents and challenges. Fixed-pricing is significant to us because my experience working with major corporations is that the open ended projects tend to over promise results and ultimately exceed the budget. To pull this off successfully, we are applying proven IT security methodologies, our own tools, and—most importantly—senior consultants who can get the job done on time, on budget, and on target.

Sadly, this isn’t true for so many firms out there who put junior consultants, sometimes just out of school, on smaller projects. If I’ve learned anything from working on the client side it’s that a small budget project may have lower financial priority for the consulting firm involved but the project is still extremely important to the client. It is our brand promise that IT Security Consulting’s fixed-price model will get the job done, without overspending.

While IT Security Consulting is completely separate from Avatier, it offers its clients the benefit of security expertise culled from Avatier’s years in the industry and extends Avatier’s model of helping organizations reach their security objectives quickly, cost-effectively and in a way never experienced before in the industry.
