Recommended Minimum Requirements
All of our solutions including Password Station, Account Terminator, Account Creator leverage the Avatier Identity Management Server™ (AIMS™) framework which has the following minimum server requirements.

Hardware - AIMS Administration Server

  • 400 MHz CPU clock speed
  • 256 MB RAM
  • 100 MB free disk space
  • Monitor capable of displaying 16-bit color or greater and a resolution of 800x600 or higher

Software - AIMS Administration Server

  • Preferred Operating System is Microsoft  Windows 2003 Server - Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition.
    • Also Supports: Microsoft XP Professional and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server
       
  • WARNING: Not intended for Microsoft Windows 2003 - Web Edition or domain controllers
     
  • When managing either a Microsoft Windows NT or Active Directory environment, Avatier recommends making the AIMS Administration server a member of at least one managed domain.
     
  • IMPORTANT: Microsoft Windows NT or Active Directory user account with Domain Administrator permissions in each domain where Password Station will be used to automate password reset.
     
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 5.0 or later
     
  • IMPORTANT: IIS_WPG group (IIS 6.0) or ASPNET (IIS 5.0) local account need Full Control on the AIMS directory
     
  • Microsoft Data Access Control (MDAC) 2.8 or later
     
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 extensions or later
     
  • Microsoft SQL Server (optional)
     
  • Network Settings must be have a functioning TCP/IP stack and DNS.
     
  • WARNING: If running anti-Virus please allow installation scripts to run once.

Software - AIMS Primary Directory Store

  • Any LDAP Server
  • IBM Directory Server
  • Open LDAP
  • Oracle Internet Directory
  • Microsoft Windows NT
  • Microsoft Windows Active Directory
  • Microsoft Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM)
  • Novell eDirectory
  • Sun Java System Directory Server (Formerly Sun One Directory Server and NetScape iPlanet Directory Server)

Software - Web Clients

  • Any Web Browser
  • Microsoft  Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
    IMPORTANT: Required for management of Lotus Notes ID files, Active Card, and changing locally cached credentials)
  • Mozilla 1.0 or later
  • NetScape 4.0 or later
