Avatier Announces Avatier Identity Management Suite (AIMS) 6.1

Proven IAM Software Now Offers Enhanced Language Support and Better Integration

San Ramon, California – March 1, 2006 - Avatier Corporation today announced Avatier Identity Management Suite (AIMS) 6.1, the latest version of company’s internationalized Web service-based platform. Avatier's Identity and Access Management solution help organizations quickly realize their security management and business goals through a comprehensive, enterprise-proven application.

It’s estimated that 70 percent of compliance deficiencies are related to IAM. This in addition to spiraling IT costs is driving the need for increased end-user self-service. Avatier’s Identity Management Suite works to secure and streamline user access to enterprise resources for organizations facing security exposures and compliance mandates. AIMS meets these demands while lowering IT costs through a rapid deployment cycle that works in minutes, not months.

“Avatier provides identity and access management solutions to more than 1,000 customers worldwide,” said Nelson Cicchitto, Avatier chairman and CEO. “The updates available in AIMS 6.1 address many of our global customers’ changing needs – including better integration, enhanced language support, and a one-stop approach to configuration.”

AIMS 6.1 is available now available through download at www.avatier.com, pricing starts at $30 per user for 1,000 users. New features include:

  1.  Expanded and improved LDAP search support: For customers running Sun One, IBM Directory Server, Novell NDS, Microsoft Active Directory or Open LDAP AIMS now supports LDAP referrals for load balancing, improved reliability and improved performance.
  2.  Better software integration, automation: The Avatier Automation Application Programming Interface (AAAPI) is now available, enabling programmers to automate account creations and terminations with other business processes, including HR systems.
  3.  One-stop configuration: Similar or dissimilar systems can be grouped, enabling administrators to reset all passwords, as well as create and terminate all accounts for every system within a system group.
  4.  More languages supported: Avatier is setting the standard for international identity management. AIMS already supports English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. AIMS 6.1 includes the following 11 new language additions of Chinese (simplified and traditional), Czech, Dutch, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Slovak.
  5. Greater language flexibility: In addition to AIMS’ language auto-sensing feature, the suite now allows end-users to specify an alternate language of their choice through an opening Select Language menu.
  6.  New licensing feature: New licensing in AIMS offers both an online and offline license capabilities.
