Nelson Cicchitto
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Nelson, a career information technology leader, joined Avatier Corporation in 1995. As Chairman and CEO, he oversees Avatier’s overall corporate and product strategies. With over 20 years of experience defining and implementing information technology visions for Fortune 100 companies, Nelson commercialized the world’s first delegated administration solution for the Microsoft Windows NT platform. Before joining Avatier, he worked as an independent consultant for Pacific Bell, where he was responsible for rolling out the Standard Desktop initiative to 20,000 employees. Prior to that, he worked at Chevron Information Technology Company, where he designed Chevron’s first common operating environment and X.500 directory. Nelson graduated with honors from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Billy Barron
Vice-President, Engineering
Billy brings 20 years of software architecture, information security and infrastructure management experience to his role as leader of Avatier's software development team. Prior to joining the company in 2002, Billly was Chief Architect for Tek-Tool's Storage Profiler, a cross-platform Storage Resource Management product. He previously worked for Delphi Consulting leading Java and object-oriented programming teams developing scalable, mission-critical applications for such varied functions as IP telephony management and actuarial analysis. Billy has co-authored ten books, the most recent being "Maximum Security, 4th Edition", on topics such as software development, the Internet, and system administration. He is an active member of the technical community and is a frequent speaker at user groups and conferences. He is also a founder and past-president of the Java Metroplex User Group. Billy holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science from the University of North Texas.
